An Ugly Tale of Love

They're bright. They're cute. They're...Ugly. Over the past ten years or so Uglydolls have slowly grown on us. Liza gave us our first and I recall thinking he was cute and quirky, but I wasn't sure how many of them I wanted around. Now? LOVE them! The more the merrier. It is hard to choose which fuzzy, tooth grinned, bright monster is the best one to take home. And they were born of a love story, from a doodle at the bottom of a love letter between the founders David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim. A doodle, that inspired Sun-Min to sew together a little cuddly replica of the monster as a gift to send back to David. Poof! The first UglydollTM was born!

But the best part? David Horvath is coming here to our very own jaZams on Saturday October 15^th to sign his monsters and greet fans. I'm a fan. Are you a fan? Great gift to tuck away for the holidays no?

It may be a Ugly love story, but what a great one. You'll never look at those wee monsters the same way again.
